About the Role:
This is an opportunity to Join BHP’s Group Operational Performance Team and help drive transformational impact across our global mining operations. In this role, you will accelerate high-impact performance improvements by identifying and replicating technical best practices, with a strong focus on addressing operational bottlenecks. You will play a key role in delivering targeted analysis and on-the-ground observations to support benchmark performance through the most critical points in the value chain. This includes integrating people, equipment, systems, and processes to unlock full operational potential
Reporting to the Manager of Group Operational Performance, this position is responsible for:
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Deliver targeted analysis and observation to support benchmark performance through the bottlenecks in our value chain.
- Integrate people, equipment, systems, and processes to optimize performance.
- Contribute broadly to best practice replication across our operations.
- Coach and develop capability in operational teams through global value chain forums, BOS practices and other engagements.
About You:
- Professional degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mining industry.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Language & Work Style: Advanced English proficiency and availability for hybrid work (office and field).
- Improvement & Change: Proven ability to lead or support initiatives that improve safety, efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
- Analytical & Problem Solving: Skilled in using data and structured thinking to solve complex problems and support decision-making.
- Influence & Relationships: Able to influence teams, align leaders, and build trust-based relationships through empathy and self-awareness.
